When many of us hear the word hypnosis, images of stage hypnotists and pocket watches may come to mind.
Hypnotherapy is something very different, it utilizes the powerful mind state of hypnosis, which simply means a highly focused and suggestible state, to create positive and powerful therapeutic changes. It firstly allows you at the deepest level to identify the destructive subconscious beliefs, personas and patterns and change them. These unconscious patterns of being in relationship, career, finances, health keep you away from your true potential and creating deep happiness and meaningful success. The second major feature of Hypnotherapy is that it acts as a bridge that connects you to your potential and capacity to manifest your goals and desires.
Hypnotherapy utilizes a wide range of techniques and therapies to allow you to work with the sub-psyche, to work with the parts of you may have been unaware of or even walked away from a long time ago, out of pain or hurt. It goes to the places where it seemed no light or hope can reach and it touches it with understanding and compassion.
Hypnotherapy helps you explore and access the all important subconscious mind and discover your inner wellspring of creativity and emotion and thought-belief structures.
During this exploration you are able to uncover the unconscious patterns and beliefs that run on auto pilot that are holding you back in one way or another from achieving your conscious goals.
Once these patterns are identified in the hypnotic state you can come to understand why they are running and can change that at the deepest level of mind and out of potential of your mind plant positive seeds of change. Once these changes are made we reinforce through cognitive work the changes you wish to make and the conscious and subconscious mind create a positive feedback loop.
During a session with me, my first goal is to deeply understand the perspective and story of my client. This means immersing myself in the emotions, experiences and turning points that brought them this far. It is vital that I deeply understand where my client is coming from to map a way forward.
Once this space is created we can then both search deeply for the kinds of outcomes that would be most important and meaningful to my client. We can then begin to develop a roadmap forward, which will of course change along the way, as the client changes. This roadmap will include goal states, emotional states and beliefs that the client would like to consciously and subconsciously cultivate through our work together. This entire process is collaborative and any way forward is decided together and around the comfort of the client.
Hypnosis is a state that we access several times a day, when engrossed in a movie, when daydreaming or the dream like state when we first wake in the morning. This state exists just under conscious awareness and is the realm of the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind is the storehouse of your memories, deeply held belief systems, emotions, personas, automated behaviors and bodily functions, drives and desires. This powerful part of your mind informs all your conscious waking decisions and is the source of all your potential for complete transformation.
The hypnosis session which is the second part of the session has four distinct parts:
The third part of the session involves discussing insights and confirming conscious goals for the week ahead and any homework for the week.
My philosophy is deep and meaningful therapy that empowers. My goal is to help you find the way to your own power and greatness and teach you how to transform your life. Generally at least 4-6 Sessions, that are done consecutively each week, with daily hypnosis, will result in meaningful changes being made.
The benefits are endless. I became a hypnotherapist because this therapy personally changed my life and has now helped thousands of clients I have worked with over the years.
Medical journals are continuing to produce a robust inventory of how science is finding the powerful impact hypnotherapy is having on mind and body.
The positive impact of hypnosis on the mind has been noted in several psychological and medical journals in the following areas:
My approach is to take these outer difficulties as manifestations of a subconscious conflict. A story that is trying to be communicated through the sub psyche and to allow this story to arise and be processed and healed. Once the conflict is healed we can start upon the positive work of intentionally creating empowering ways of thinking and believing and becoming.
This way all pain is alchemised into potential and then into intentional manifestation so you can discover and create:

I have had the joy of working with clients that have simply healed themselves through the power of this process. Each medical journey is different and I usually work with a doctors referral.
